In the aftermath of a total knee replacement on November 10th, a definite case of "split personalities" has developed. There are those "Steve Austin" moments of high hopes and great expectations, followed by "Humpty Dumpty" lows of the reality that the old egg isn't what it once was.
The surgery was successful and the new apparatus, comprised of a titanium alloy and plastic insert, is in place. The most difficult and important part of the process is now under way...REHABILITATION!
I have regularly scheduled physical therapy three times weekly plus working on my own to strengthen muscles and establish good range of motion for the joint. It is painful and not pleasant but it's the work that must be done, or the surgery was just a waste of time. I am expecting to start seeing/feeling a real difference in two to three weeks.
All prayers and encouragement for healing and perserverance are hereby solicited. Thanks!
