When the conductor yelled,

I yelled, “Man you better slow this damn thing down!”

In a train now pulling to a pause
Conductor yells, “This is Albuquerque!”
And I yell, “Clear the way, I’m coming through because…”

When that conductor yells, “All aboard!”
And I yelled, “Hell, I never even got away!”

Did not detain

Did not call to say, “I’m here!”
Or even, “How ya been?”

Headed out of town and into space
